Seeking a Service and Parts Assistant providing support to the service and parts departments

  • 5 day work week
  • Learn while you earn. Opportunity to gain experience and grow into higher level positions

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Prior Dealership Service and/or Parts Experience a Plus!
  • High School Graduate
  • PC Proficient
  • Must Pass Background Check, Drug Test, and Motor Vehicle Record Check

SUMMARY

A Service and Parts Assistant provides support to the service and parts department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following.

Service Department Assistance

  • Inventory Image Incentives: $5.00 per retail sold by the dealership during the month, will be paid on the 10th of the following month.

    Receptionist/Customer Service Duties

  • Professionally and timely answering of all calls
  • Professionally greet all customers
  • Service Assistant Duties

  • Remote Experience (Mobile/Red Cap) Administration
  • Service Filing
  • Prepare Service and Parts Receipts for Accounting
  • Prepare Internal repair orders
    • Used Vehicle Inspections
    • Write up any issues after UVI is completed
    • Pre Delivery Inspections New Vehicles
  • Assist Manager with Repair Order Process Reviews and communicate issues.
  • Back up Service Writers as needed
  • Scan Warranty Repair Orders to Warranty Manager daily
  • Assist Service Manager with Onboarding Administrative processes.
  • Process Service Customer Payments following all company processes.
    • Balance Daily
    • Guarantee all checks
    • Process Credit Card payments following credit card processing policy.
  • Administration of Service Loaner Program
  • Miscellaneous customer service duties as assigned
  • Assist Parts with Merchandise Rack.
  • Inventory Image Duties

    Photograph all New and Used Vehicles for proper online presence utilizing the Online Photo Requirements Process.

    Work with local dealership management to have all applicable vehicles photographed and posted to the Internet in a timely and accurate fashion.

    Verify all photos have been successfully uploaded.

    Assist with Social Media Presence

    Service Department Housekeeping

  • Inspects and cleans service department regularly
  • Reports unsafe conditions to Service Director
  • Back up team members when needed

    Miscellaneous duties as assigned

CERTIFICATION: Maintains required levels of manufacturer training and certifications. Must complete all training as required by General Motors to obtain Assistant Parts Manager Certification.

  • Typically may bend, stoop, lift or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds.
